Recently, the Energy and Power Engineering Department and the Petroleum Engineering Department of our School jointly applied for the "Hebei Engineering Research Center for Low Carbon Development and Resource Utilization of Fossil Energy Sources" provincial engineering research center, which was successfully approved and officially included in the Hebei Province Development and Reform Commission's preparation plan. The Petroleum Engineering Department, as a joint construction unit, applied for the "Hebei Gas Storage Ground Engineering Technology Innovation Center" and received approval from the Hebei Province Science and Technology Department. It will be jointly constructed with the supporting unit, China Petroleum Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. North China Branch.
On the morning of September 20th, in order to further clarify the construction plan and research direction of the platform, our School and the joint construction units Tangshan Jinsha Combustion Thermal Energy Co., Ltd. and National Pipeline North Pipeline Co., Ltd. Qinhuangdao Oil and Gas Transmission Branch held a platform construction plan demonstration meeting. Leaders from joint construction units including Chairman Ma Zongyu and Chief Engineer Liu Chunmei from Tangshan Jinsha Combustion Thermal Energy Co., Ltd., Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman Han Shuqiang, Operation Manager Liu Zenian from National Pipeline North Pipeline Co., Ltd. Qinhuangdao Oil and Gas Transmission Branch, School of Vehicle and Energy President Jin Lisheng, Secretary Zhang Dianfan, Vice President Tang Xianzhi, Vice President Li Nan, and engineering center core faculties Shao Xianjie, Ma Pinghua, Zhang Liang, Zheng Liming, Lu Yanjun, Zhao Deng attended the demonstration meeting, which was hosted by Vice President Li Nan.
President Jin Lisheng first introduced the development process of School of Vehicle and Energy of Yanshan University, as well as its scientific research level and achievements in recent years, and the platform construction foundation. Secretary Zhang Dianfan welcomed the joint construction enterprises to strengthen cooperation and exchanges through this platform construction. Unit leaders Ma Zongyu and Han Shuqiang proposed several research directions for the current sub-fields in enterprises and conducted in-depth discussions with participating teachers. Both parties jointly discussed and revised the platform construction plan, research direction, and other relevant details.
Afterwards, Ma Zongyu and the guests visited the research laboratories of the Energy and Power Engineering Department and the Petroleum Engineering Department, and discussed specific platform construction areas furtherly.
In recent years, the School has attached great importance to scientific research innovation work and actively completed scientific research platform construction and cultivation work. The successful inclusion of these two provincial platforms in the preparation plan has marked that all three majors in our School have provincial or above-level scientific research platforms, further improving the high-level scientific research platform structure system of the School, also provides strong support for related subject construction and scientific research work, promotes disciplinary intersectional fusion and further development, and more effectively improves overall technological innovation level and social service ability.
