In order to further strengthen the teambuilding of faculty, improve the education level and teaching skills of young teachers, encourage young teachers to explore classroom teaching principles and methods actively, and select outstanding young teachers to participate in the 10th Young Teacher Teaching Basic Skills Competition of YSU, the School of Vehicles and Energy (SVE) held a Teaching Basic Skills Competition for Young Teacher on the afternoon of October 26th at Room 317, SVE Building.
This competition was judged byWenpingLi,PinghuaMa,XueliangLi, Liang Zhang, Liming Zheng, andGuijingLi. Eight young teachers, including Jian Zhu,QiangWang, Mei Yan,HongxueLi,BingfanLi,ChaoranWu,ErxiuShi, andJinxuanHan, representing three majors in the competition. The competition was hosted by Vice Dean, Nan Li and observed by other young teachers under the age of 38.

At the site, the competitors were full of energy, fully prepared for teaching, organized and natural in teaching style, with accurate language expression andexplanation, highlighting key points and difficult points. With blackboard writing and multimedia presentations well combined, they achieved expected teaching effect, demonstrated high teaching level and professional quality, and reflected positive and upward spirit of young teachers.

The rating system consists of two parts: teaching plan and classroom teaching, aiming to test the abilities of young teachers in pre-class design and in-class teaching arrangement skills. The judges gave excellent comments on each participants’ performance, and communicated thoroughly with young teachers on the teaching design, teaching content, teaching arrangement, teaching effectiveness and other aspects.
The competition provides a stage for young teachers of SVE to show their teaching level, exchange experiences and to improve. It is of great advantages to improve the professional quality of young teachers, accelerate their growth and development, and further promoting the teambuilding of SVE faculty.
