In 2021, the School of Vehicle and Energy actively promoted the application of scientific research projects. Among them, two "14th Five-Year Plan" national key R&D projects for which the school participated in the application were successfully approved, which is the best achievement in the history of the school in this project. At present, the implementation stage has started.
Project 1: "Research and Development of Key Technologies and Demonstration Application of Vehicle-level Solid-state Lidar for Automatic Driving" led by the School of Vehicle and Energy and Suteng Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. in conjunction with 10 institutions such as Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Automotive Technology & Research Center Co., Ltd., BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd., the Fifth Institute of Electronics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, South China University of Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University and Beihang University; YSU is mainly responsible for the research of obstacle detection and navigable area division technology in complex scenes of solid-state lidar, and YSU has received 1.06 million yuan of state-allocated funds.
