YSU Successfully Holds The 13th International Conference on Green Intelligent Transportation System and Safety

On September 16, 2022, the 13th International Conference on Green Intelligent Transportation System and Safety (GITSS 2022) and Seminar on New Energy Intelligent Networked Vehicles, sponsored by Beijing Institute of Technology and Technical University of Munich and organized by YSU, was successfully held in YSU. The conference online and offline attracted more than 200 experts and scholars from more than 20 well-known universities, enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, including the University of Wisconsin in the United States, the University of Waterloo in Canada, Technical University of Munich in Germany, Tsinghua University, Beihang University, Tongji University and the Research Institute of Highway Ministry of Transport. At 9:00 a.m., the conference officially kicked off at YSU, and the opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Yang Manping, Associate Dean of School of Vehicle and Energy.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Wang Desong, Vice President of YSU, extended a warm welcome to experts from home and abroad and brother universities, He introduced the "100-year historical journey" of YSU and the great achievements made in the past 20 years to the participating scholars, fully affirmed the cutting-edge and advanced nature of this conference in the field of green intelligent transportation and safety, and invited experts and scholars to visit, pay attention to and support YSU in person, and wished this conference a successful convening. Subsequently, Professor Jin Lisheng, Dean of the School of Vehicle and Energy, welcomed the guests again, briefly introduced the development and construction of the School of Vehicle and Energy, and invited everyone to come to the school to provide guidance; Professor Wang Wuhong, Chairman of the Conference, affirmed the preparation for this conference and looked forward to active and enthusiastic academic exchanges among participating scholars; Professor Lu Guangquan, Associate Dean of School of Transportation Science and Engineering, Beihang University, as the representative of the organizer of the next conference, invited experts and scholars to attend the conference in Beijing in 2023.

After the opening ceremony, the conference was conducted in theme report and group report. Theme report was presided over by Professor Li Hao, Associate Dean of School of Vehicle and Energy, and Professor Shen Yongjun, Southeast University. The well-known expert and scholar at home and abroad, including Professor Klaus Bengler of Technical University of Munich, Professor Martin Bauman of University of Ulm, Professor Sun Jian of Tongji University, Professor Cai Yingfeng of Jiangsu University, Professor Wang Wuhong of Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Jin Lisheng of YSU and Professor Lu Guangquan of Beihang University, respectively gave conference reports on the theme of "urban automatic driving, human-vehicle interaction, virtual simulation and data fusion" to systematically introduce the cutting-edge technologies, development trends and the latest research results of the teams in various fields.

Group report in two parallel sessions was presided over by Dr. Yan Mei of YSU and Dr. Shi Jian of Beijing Institute of Technology, a total of 12 outstanding representatives from Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Southeast University and other universities presented their papers, and the conference was successfully concluded in active exchanges and heated discussions among scholars online. After evaluation by the Academic Committee of the Conference, excellent papers were selected and recommended to SCI or EI sources for publication.

The conference provides an international platform for experts and scholars in the fields of transportation and vehicles at home and abroad to deeply discuss the theoretical research results and cutting-edge technologies in the fields of green intelligent transportation system and safety, analyze the existing problems and solutions, and further expand the international vision for faculty and students of YSU.
